Mapping Fault Lines in the Context of Hybrid Warfare: A Case Study of Pakistan

Pakistan is a country that has several fault lines of multidimensional nature. Owing to its geographic position and disparate population, it faces several political and administrative challenges to bridge these fault lines. The resolve behind this research is that hybrid warfare requires a clear definition in the national context. The term has been cliched in debates but the idea remains indistinct for the society. Additionally, the fault lines remain problematic when they are not addressed. On social media, the situation becomes even more grim; real can be taken as fake or vice versa. This research is being conducted to rationalize the response and nature of hybrid war in Pakistan by mapping the fault lines. Furthermore, it is also pertinent to apprehend the difference among perceived fault lines and actual fault lines.
Keywords: Hybrid Warfare, Information Warfare, Social Media, Malinformation, Fault Lines.
